It's love at first sight!

We recently purchased a puppy last July of this year. We purchased a Shih Tzu puppy and named her Mayah based on the movie Eight Below. She would be 4 months old this coming Sep 10. She is sooo cute. We take her to the farm in cavite for her to run around and have fresh air too. She loves to eat apples, orange, oatmeal, lettuce and tomato, cucumber, corn and carrots. She loves to drink milk in the morning and before sleeping. She is one loved pup! She is sometimes spoiled and vain because we love to take her to Tiendesitas for her grooming. She has her own bed too and sleeps in my room. We really love her. Wish she can give us tons of puppies in the next year. For me Shih Tzu's are one of the best breeds that you can have even if you are living in a condo they can easily adapt to their environment. We also have regular visits to her veterinarian for her booster shots and vitamins. We really love our new puppy!

My first ordeal for 2007

This January of 2007 I had an operation. Well, my ob-gyne said that I had this tumor in my right ovary. Well ny doctor recommended that I have it removed because the ultrasound results did not show positive signs. The tumor was growing at a fast pace and my mom was worried as hell. So I decided to have the operation due to the fact that I even had a second opinion and had the same recommendation.

So I told my doctor that I will have the operation on January 8, 2007. So the day before my mom accompanied me to the admitting department. But before that, a week earlier I had all my vital signs, chest x-ray and blood counts checked. We also got clearances from the cardiologist and endocrinologist to advice all the doctors and nurses that I was ready for surgery. Good thing I was insured at Caritas or else the bill was unbelievable.

I was admitted and was ready in my hospital bed. My parents were there and I was scared as a kid going to the destist for the first time and have her tooth extracted or worst - a root canal. From time to time doctors and nurses were checking my vitals and they even took some blood samples again! Then the anestheasiologists came in the room and explained what type of anestheasia I would prefer, general anestheasia having the side effects of temporary memory loss or spinal anestheasia or epidural procedure wherein you will feel numb from the waist down. Side effects? Well just temporary shivering for atleast 2-4 hours. My mom said I think epidural will do. So I agreed, I'd rather go through a needle through my spine than temporary memory loss. Then my cardiologist and endocrinologist visited me and adviced me to relax and everything will be fine. Then my OB-Gyne came and we prayed for God to guide her hands in the operating room and a speedy recovery. She also said that God, is the greatest physician we are only instruments in this world. I cried after my doctor left. I prayed again for comfort and strength. I lifted everything into His hands and then slept.

Morning came it was 5:00 a.m. I was being prepared (prep) the proper injections were given, and I was transferred to the O.R. Then I met the anestheasiologists and said we will do the epidural procedure but if we won't be successful, we have no choice but to do the general anestheasia- I agreed.

So I woke up I was in the recovery room. I can hear my mom and tita marge's voices and I was glad I was alive! Then I thanked God that I was ok. It only took 4 days for me to tell my dad that I wanted to go home and rest. And besides the bill was getting larger as I stayed in the hospital. With the approval of my OB-Gyne, I was out of there! Two weeks past then I was on my way to my apartment in laguna!

Thank you to all who prayed for my recovery and to those who were there during and after I give you my heartful thanks! And to all the women out there please do not take chances! Have a monthly or annual check up not just the OB-Gyne but have a general check up! Its for your own good!
